India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Ola Electric, has announced the launch of its new ‘Gig’ and ‘S1 Z’ scooter range. The company aims to make electric mobility more accessible and affordable for the masses, providing better options for everyday commuting.

Starting Price and Booking Details

One of the highlights of this new range is its affordable pricing, with the starting price set at just ₹39,999 (ex-showroom). The booking process has already begun, and customers can reserve their scooters for just ₹499.

Models and Prices

The range includes four models:

  1. Ola Gig: ₹39,999
  2. Ola Gig+: ₹49,999
  3. Ola S1 Z: ₹59,999
  4. Ola S1 Z+: ₹64,999

All these scooters feature removable battery packs, making the charging process more convenient and user-friendly.

Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ola Electric, stated, “Our existing portfolio and this new range will bring a significant transformation to the electric two-wheeler segment. Deliveries for the Ola Gig and Ola S1 Z series will commence in April 2025 and May 2025, respectively.”

  • Designed for short commutes and B2B businesses, this scooter features a durable frame, enhanced safety, ample payload capacity, and a 1.5 kWh removable battery.
  • The company claims the scooter offers a driving range of 112 km (IDC-certified) on a single charge.
  • It is equipped with 12-inch tires for better performance.

Ola Gig+: Ideal for Long Distances and Heavy Payloads

  • Price: ₹49,999
  • Specifically built for gig workers and users needing higher payload capacity.
  • The scooter has a top speed of 45 km/h.
  • It comes with a 1.5 kWh removable battery (available in single/dual options).
  • A single battery delivers a range of 81 km, while the dual battery setup extends the range to 157 km.
  • It is powered by a 1.5 kW peak output hub motor.
